Holy Baptism is the basis of whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door
which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn
as children of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made
sharers in her mission: Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water and the Word.
We look forward to celebrating the baptism of your child with you! Please make note of the
following:
1) Because we are a busy student center, St. Peter can only accommodate the baptisms of
members of our community.
2) Baptisms are normally scheduled on Saturday afternoons at 4:30PM. Baptisms on other
days and at other times are at the discretion of the Rector.
3) If your child is seven years old or older, please arrange to speak to the Rector about the
process for preparing for baptism.
Complete the Baptism Application Form.
Select godparents and have them complete the Baptism Godparent Covenant.
Provide parish office with a copy of your child’s state-issued birth certificate.
Schedule and attend Baptism Preparation Session (contact the Rector to schedule).
