Sister Miriam James will be speaking on Baylor's campus- Marrs McLean Science 101- on Jan. 17 at 7:30 p.m.. She will be speaking about  The Transforming Power of Love: How Your Heart Makes All The Difference.

Sr. Miriam James was raised in Woodland, WA and is a graduate of the University of Nevada-Reno where she majored in Communications. As she entered college on a volleyball scholarship, she began to fall deep into alcoholism, and her life started to spiral out of control.  It was the witness of a holy priest that initially helped to awaken faith in her, and start her down a path to religious life with the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity. She holds a Master’s degree in Theology from the Augustine Institute and is the author of the book "Loved As I Am."
