St. Mother Teresa said that the greatest poverty facing the West is loneliness— “being unwanted, unloved, and uncared for.” Street Talks was formed in response to this call for ministry that meets the lonely wherever they are and offers them love modeled after that of Christ.
Street Talks seeks prayerful fraternity and fellowship with our homeless sisters and brothers of Waco. In small groups, we take to the streets to encounter them wherever they may be and have conversations that hopefully lead to prayer and friendship.
We meet monthly. Usually, that consists of an introduction, brief training, service, and a debriefing/reflection afterward, although we occasionally do outside service. Participants must be EIM trained—we can facilitate that if you are not. If you are interested in joining, please contact Alex or Andre.
